SpectrumPROFILER™ Handheld Spectrum/Signal AnalyzerE8400B & E8600B
The E8400B and E8600B SpectrumPROFILER models are handheld spectrum/signal analyzers that are designed to simplify the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of wireless communication systems.
The difference between the two models is their operating frequency range.
• E8400B – operates from 9kHz to 4.0 GHz
• E8600B – operates from 9kHz to 6.0 GHz
Each instrument comes standard with spectrum analysis measurement capability, including several smart
one-button measurements:
• Channel power
• Occupied bandwidth
• Adjacent channel leakage ratio
• Field strength
• Harmonic measurements
Each instrument can also be configured with additional measurement modes at the time of purchase or at a later date in the field, as your test needs evolve.
RF Power Meter (Option DML-015)
The RF power meter option provides true RMS measurements with accurate measurements for both CW and complex digitally modulated signals. It supports a 50M~6GHz frequency range. Option DML-015 does not include the external sensor apparatus (PN: E7000A-00500) necessary for the RF Power Meter.
Tracking Generator, 25 MHz – 4.0 GHz (Option DML-034)
A tracking generator is a signal generator with an output that tracks or follows the tuning of a spectrum analyzer. This option therefore allows testing of many passive and active electronic components and circuits. The Deviser tracking generator provides state-of-the-art features not seen in other competitive hand-held analyzers, including capabilities such as 0.1 dB power step size, a wide dynamic range, and apower output flatness of }1 dB. With Option DML-034, users can easily make measurements such as frequency response, gain and return loss (using an external bridge). This option enables a measurement range of 25 MHz – 4.0 GHz.
Must be enabled at an authorized Deviser Instruments service center.

Interference Analyzer (Option DML-110B)
Many wireless networks operate in complicated signal environments. Three or four base station antennas may be located on the same tower and can create interference problems, which can affect system capacity and coverage. The Deviser Interference Analyzer (option DML-110B) adds seven measurement applications to the spectrum analyzer:
Spectrogram
Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)
Signal ID (SID)
Signal Strength
Interference Location Mapping
Delta Spectrum
Digital Persistence Spectrum (DPS)
Signal Coverage Mapping (Option DML-120)
The Signal Coverage Mapping option allows users to map RSSI and ACPR measurements. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor mapping. The bundled Deviser Map Tools software enables users to create map files with or without GPS information. The files have either a .jmap (outdoor / GeoEmbedded) or .mai (indoor / non-GeoEmbedded) extension, and are fully compatible with Deviser Instruments’ E8400B/E8600B
SpectrumPROFILER hand-held spectrum analyzers. Option DML-120 may use but does not include the Deviser magnetic mount antenna (PN: E7000-0040). It is compatible with option DML-999, GPS functionality.
Option DML-120 adds five measurement applications to the spectrum analyzer:
Indoor SS
Drive Test SS
Netclean Test
TDD-LTE Outdoor
FDD-LTE Outdoor
LTE-FDD Base Station Measurement (Option DML-8600-803)
The Base Station Measurement option is ideal for testing and verifying the installation of base stations or cel sites for optimal wireless network performance. Capable of line sweeping, component/antenna analysis, field replaceable unit (FRU) troubleshooting, and identifying interference problems, option DML-8600-803 equips the SpectrumPROFILER with a suite of powerful tools for cell site technicians and RF engineers. This option enables the LTE frequency division duplex (FDD) measurement application.
LTE-FDD Air Interface Test (Option DML-8600-804)
With the Air Interface Test option, your SpectrumPROFILER instrument can analyze call events, signal strength, neighbor information, and pilot information. It also allows for Quality of Experience (QoE) analysis of voice, video and data transmissions. This option enables the LTE frequency division duplex (FDD) measurement application.
LTE-TDD Base Station Measurement (Option DML-8600-805)
The Base Station Measurement option is ideal for testing and verifying the installation of base stations or cel sites for optimal wireless network performance. Capable of line sweeping, component/antenna analysis, field replaceable unit (FRU) troubleshooting, and identifying interference problems, option DML-8600-803 equips the SpectrumPROFILER with a suite of powerful tools for cell site technicians and RF engineers. This option enables the LTE time division duplex (TDD) measurement application.
LTE-TDD Air Interface Test (Option DML-8600-806)
With the Air Interface Test option, your SpectrumPROFILER instrument can analyze call events, signal strength, neighbor information, and pilot information. It also allows for Quality of Experience (QoE) analysisof voice, video and data transmissions. This option enables the LTE time division duplex (TDD) measurement application.
GPS High Precision (Option DML-999)
The GPS High Precision option can be used to confirm the exact location (longitude, latitude, altitude) of measurement, as well as Universal Time (UT) information. Each trace can be stamped with location information to ensure you are taking measurements at the right location. GPS functionality is required for outdoor / drive test signal coverage surveys, among other applications. Option DML-999 does not include the Deviser GPS-based antenna (PN: BDA700e).
